Small Forward
6-foot-6, 215 pounds
Cleveland, OH
This Week: Averaged 17.5 points and 15 rebounds as Garfield Heights went 1-1. The team is now 9-1 on the season. The loss came to St. Vincent St. Mary's in a showdown of Cleveland's top two teams. Jackson had a double-double in each game. He had 21 and 16 boards against SVSM and had 14 and 14 in a 58-51 win over Massillon Jackson on Sunday.
Season Stats: Jackson's coach reports he is averaging 24 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. He had a season-high 42 points on December 4th.
Power Forward
6-foot-9, 210 pounds
Maple Grove, MN
This Week: Maple Grove lost to defending state champ Apple Valley, thumped St. Cloud Tech and beat Iowa City West. Maple Grove is now 8-1 on the season. Nikko had 18 points in the win over Iowa City West, but was held to seven in the OT loss to Apple Valley.
Season Stats: Nikko is averaging 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.2 blocked shots per game through nine games for Maple Grove.
Center
6-foot-10, 195 pounds
Van Buren, AR
This Week: Van Buren went 3-1 to capture 5th place in the Neosho Holiday Classic, but Smith did not participate in the tournament with his team. Smith will return to action this week.
Season Stats: The last two games Smith played, he averaged 20 points and 13.5 rebounds in a pair of wins. Smith has also scored 16 points in wins over Nixa and SLUH this season. Van Buren is 9-4 so far. We hope to have complete season stats later on Monday.
