Camp season starts today

Missouri enters the "wild, wild West" today, at least according to Nick Saban. The Tigers kick off a whirlwind tour of one day camps with today's Elite Prospect Camp on campus in Columbia. Over the next 14 days, Mizzou will attend at least 17 camps in six states.

Today's camp is the first of five being held on campus. A second elite prospect camp will be held on June 9th. That same day, Missouri's three-day team camp, which attracts teams from all over the state and generally a couple of out-of-state squads, kicks off. Sunday, June 12th is Missouri's youth football camp and the on-campus activities wrap up with a specialist/kicker camp on June 14th.

The list of college programs represented at those camps, hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor, includes Ole Miss, Oregon State, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Kansas State and Northwestern.

Mizzou is back in the state on Sunday for its prospect camp in St. Louis at Kirkwood High School. The staff will hit the western side of the state on Tuesday, June 7th at Park Hill High School.
